FRIDAY EVENINGS 5 - 8 PM PM ADVANCED BEGINNER WHEEL THROWING CLASS
In this course, you’ll learn how to throw on the wheel which includes: centering clay, pulling up walls, making basic cylinders, trimming, attaching handles, carving designs, and glazing. The advanced portion will include how to throw a closed form, how to make a lidded jar, how to wet trim, sgraffito, etc. The 6 week course is 3 hours long and meets every Friday evening starting on December 20th and ending on January 24th. The instructor of the class is Hannah Orth, owner of Mudworks Studio. Hannah has work all over the Bay Area, LA, and NYC.
The course includes a 25 lb bag of clay, free firing, and access to glaze materials. An additional 3 hours of open studio time per week is also included.
