BEGINNER WHEEL THROWING CLASS WITH JENNIFER ALVAREZ / TUESDAY EVENINGS 6-9 PM
This class is great for leveling up your creative technique. Your instructor Jennifer will teach you how to throw on the wheel, how to trim your work with various tools, and how to apply glaze. The class will explore the ceramics process from start to finish. The class includes a 25 lb bag of clay, free firing, and access to glaze materials. An additional 3 hours of open studio time per week is also included. The class meets on Tuesday evenings from 6-9 PM for 6 weeks - from April 8th until May 13th.
Jennifer Alvarez is a multidisciplinary artist working in the Bay Area since 2011. She has been making with clay since 2005 and enjoys combining wheel thrown and handbuilt elements in her ceramics. She spends her time creating and teaching throwing and hand building techniques at Auburn Clay Arts Studio and at Kollektiv Clay Studio in Northern California.
